PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

Public Works Department and Building Department are located at 1200 North Price. The Public Works Department is responsible for maintenance of City owned buildings and grounds. These include parks, pavilions, playgrounds, ball fields, etc. They are also responsible for snow removal on City streets and by contract with a majority of private subdivisions. The Building Department is responsible for issuance and inspections of all permits within the City of Olivette. St. Louis County does the health inspections and weights and measures.

The inspectors can be reached at 993-0252 to schedule inspections. The best time to reach inspectors is from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 3-4 p.m. The hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. for the Building Department. The Public Works Department is the same except during daylight saving time, when hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m..
