You Have Just Received Your New 65-Gallon Recycle Container

The City of Olivette and Allied Waste have partnered to provide each resident of Olivette with a new 65-Gallon Recycle Container. This container is made available through grants from the Saint Louis Jefferson Solid Waste Management District ,  the St. Louis County Department of Health and Allied Waste Company.

There will be no additional charge to the City or our Residents for this service.

Some of the reasons for this new container include:

• Reducing the amount of trash going into landfills to help keep future cost down.
• Reusing the material to create new jobs, save trees and keep the overall environment green and healthy for our children.
• Recycle; utilize single stream recycling that enables you to place all items into one container for collection from the hauler.

The container that has been provided to you has a handle and large wheels making it very easy to bring to your curbside for service. The attached information sheet describes the single stream recycling program in our community and what materials can be recycled.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CONTAINER IS TO BE USED FOR

RECYCLABLE MATERIALS ONLY

AND NOT FOR HOUSEHOLD TRASH.

Please be a good neighbor and do your part by utilizing this container to recycle. Landfill space has become a growing concern and if we start reducing the amount of items being taken to the landfill, this will only work in our favor to keep future costs down.
