City Manager Barbara Sondag recently graduated from the 43rd Leadership St. Louis (LSL) program with Focus St. Louis.
Sondag was one of 63 outstanding individuals selected from the private, public and nonprofit sectors to join a prestigious group of more than 2,000 leaders who have graduated from the LSL program since its inception in 1976. Leadership St. Louis is a highly respected nine-month program for established and emerging leaders who have demonstrated a deep commitment to improving the St. Louis region.
Leadership St. Louis is an immersive, invigorating experience bringing leaders around the St. Louis region to the forefront of community issues, challenges, and opportunities facing our communities. The curriculum explores such issues as economic development, racial equity, education, poverty and social services, arts and culture, and the criminal justice system. Participants visit key sites in the bi-state region, engage in face-to-face dialogue with regional decision makers and gain a deeper understanding of leadership approaches that produce results.
“Leadership STL offered me the unique opportunity to discuss regional issues with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, all within the context of leadership. The program both challenges and empowers participants,” says Sondag.
Congratulations to City Manager Barbara Sondag! We are proud of her accomplishments and look forward to what she will bring forth to the Olivette community.
